Dad just left... I tried help him extract texts from a couple of CDs he brought... Mac CDs... completely unreadable on PC... so I fired up my old Mac to get the files to my PC, no ftp client installed, no drag-n-drop in any browser... blah... so we gave up, dad's gonna have the guy who produced the CDs to email him the files instead. As long as it's only text, it will be smallish attachments...

The people Apple corp./authors of Mac OS must be really dumb, refusing to embrace existing standards that have been around for ages... like the ISO 9660 (a.k.a. High Sierra and Yellow book)... no, they just have to have their own home grown format, to make it impossible to burn and share CDs between platforms.
